The drum computer is special in that it already has very advanced technology for the year 1972. Dominant on the front of the instrument is a central matrix of 6x16 luminescent bats, which is used to program the rhythms. To the left are the pushbuttons with which the twelve different percussion instruments can be activated along with the associated slider for volume control. Each pair of instruments has a set of 16 illuminated buttons in the matrix that can be freely selected. As a result, the rhythm computer can be programmed completely freely by the user himself - such was not a matter of course around 1972, as drum machines were primarily used for use with electronic organs. These merely offered predetermined rhythms. A second special feature is the support of the punched card . On these rhythms can be permanently stored and distributed by punching certain predrilled holes. For this purpose, the card is pulled from above through a shaft on the front. The user can follow the transmission of the rhythm live by lighting up the corresponding illuminated pushbutton and correct it in case of emergency ("Hold" function).
